Event Report March 21, 2009

Today we had a hot dog feed outreach at a small community park close to the church of Pastor Francisco (Mision de Jesus). We played a few games with the kids and feed anyone who came by. All together we fed about 150 - 175 people, adults, youth, and children. It was a lot of fun and I know a blessing to so many. People just kept showing up slowly and enjoyed visiting with us while they ate. It is always fun to share about Jesus and his love.

For me the real exciting moment and high light was when two trucks full of masked armed Federal police agents were passing by and I just decided to invite them to lunch. God is so awesome and always has a plan and purpose. They stopped and came over and ate. Now these are the men who ride around in trucks with masks and big guns, looking for the drug cartel and such activities. No one could believe they would stop and we all were shocked when they came over to eat with us. They all took off their masks and gloves to eat with us and were so kind.

It was so exciting and awesome. I had the great pleasure of telling them we were celebrating Jesus by loving the community. We fed them all they could eat and visited with them while they ate it. The kids even came and spoke with them a bit. It was just cool. I told them we would be praying for them that God would protect them and use them for his glory and purposes. They gave us their names so we could know who we were praying for even. This is a bit unusual as most of the time they want to keep their identities a secret so the drug cartel cannot have them killed or know who they are.

Truly it was a blessed day and we are rejoicing for the purposes of God.

We went through about 10 gallons of juice and about 250 hot dots. It was a lot of food and no one left hungry praise God! God is so good and such a wonderful provider to our lives.

Well keep us in your prayer as we are working hard for Jesus.

We love you and thank you for all your help and prayers.

God bless you, keep you and use you for his glory always.

Love Jeanine
